It’s been nearly five weeks since my hip replacement operation and I’m pleased to say that my recovery is going well. I have found it difficult to be doing a lot less than usual and I’m working hard to develop a more patient approach to life!

Finding a healthy work-life balance

I recently did what lots of people are having to do – I took on another job, a ‘side hustle’ as it’s sometimes known! For me, it’s not about needing to earn extra cash so much, I’m lucky in that regard, but it was more about getting out a bit more and not being so solitary.

I suppose I’m taking on an extra job to improve my work-life balance which might be a bit topsy-turvy, we’ll see!

Find what makes you happy in 2023

Are you full of the January blues or raring to go with new vim and vigour for 2023? I’m feeling a bit of both if I’m honest!

I’m certainly not a fan of big New Year’s Resolutions. I think they put too much pressure on us and are difficult to maintain, which is why a huge percentage of resolutions are abandoned before the end of January. But I do believe in the benefit of making small adjustments to improve our outlook, and above all being kind to ourselves.
